Ingredients:
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts optional
Instructions:
Warm the oven up to 175F 350C
A 9x9-inch baking pan should be greased
Melt the butterscotch chips and butter in a bowl that can go in the microwave
Stir the mixture every so often until it is smooth
Put the eggs, vanilla extract, and brown sugar in a different bowl and mix them together until they are well mixed
Slowly add the melted butterscotch mixture to the brown sugar mixture while stirring all the time
The flour, baking powder, and salt should be stirred in until they are just mixed in
If you want, you can fold in chopped nuts
Spread out the batter in the baking pan that has been prepared
In a hot oven, bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean
Let the brownies cool all the way down on a wire rack in the pan
Once the brownies are cool, spread the caramel icing all over the top of them
Serve it cut up into squares
